HOTEL OF ICE

Are you up for the experience of a lifetime? Then, spend a night in our Hotel of Ice. We recommend you book one night on ice and a couple in our Bâlea Lake Chalet, starting or ending with the night on ice to get the most out of your experience. Spending a night in our Hotel of Ice is an absolutely unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as you will experience silent nights on a bed made of ice. You need not worry about the cold because your bed is insulated with mattresses, fur, and sleeping bags.

  • We recommend spending only one night, simply due to the practicalities.

  • Note: during the day, between 10:00 - 17:30, the Hotel of Ice is open to day visitors.

  • We recommend that you don’t shower once on the mountain, if you are sleeping in the Hotel of Ice, as you’ll wash away the natural oils in your skin that help protect you against the cold and the elements.

Should you wish to spend more time on the mountain enjoying the beautiful landscape and the activities available, then we recommend staying in the Bâlea Lake Chalet.

BALEA LAKE CHALET

For those who would like to see the Hotel of Ice but would prefer to stay in warm accommodation, the homely Bâlea Lake Chalet offers exactly that. Situated 50 m from the Hotel of Ice, you’ll get to experience everything the Hotel of Ice has to offer, such as the Ice Restaurant Bar, but you will get to retire in a cosy room at Bâlea Lake Chalet at the end of the night.

  • Although you are provided with a secure room to store your luggage at the chalet if you are staying at the Hotel of Ice, some visitors also decide to book a room in Bâlea Lake Chalet so they have somewhere warm and comfortable to retire to.

  • This also guarantees them a warm room should they have a last minute change of heart about staying in the Hotel of Ice.
